Spring activities and books to enjoy with your little ones (part 1)🐝🐣🐰
Honeycomb artwork with bubble wrap stamp, and baby animal bunting
Some Spring crafts I really enjoyed with my 3 year old in the last few weeks.
Honeycomb painting
What you will need:
Card/cardboard cut into a hexagon shape
Bubble wrap
Paints + paintbrushes
Long piece of paper
Dried petals

To further enjoy the bee themed activities we read the following books:

“Why Do We Need Bees?” by Katie Daynes
“The Honeybee” by Kirsten Hall
Spring bunting 🐥+🐰
What you will need:
Cardboard
Paints and paint brushes
Scissors or scalpel
Piece of old material - to make bows for the bunnies and headscarfs for chicks (not necessary but it’s a nice touch and added texture)
Double sided sticky circles (I used these ones) - much less messy and easier to put chick and bunnies together with these than glue as they are very sticky, plus kids don’t need to wait for the glue to dry
Ribbon or string - to attach the bunnies and chicks to for the final bunting, but you could just make a single chick and single bunny for your kid to play with instead

I made the chicks one day, and few days later we spent the afternoon making bunnies.

To further enjoy the baby animals / chick themed activities we read the following books:
“Chickens Aren't the Only Ones” by Ruth Heller
“If you were my bunny” by by Kate McMullan
“Born In The Wild Baby Mammals and Their Parents” by Lita Judge

Enjoy xo
